What is Mine Search?
Mine Search, also known as Minesweeper, is a classic single-player puzzle video game. The goal is to clear a rectangular board containing hidden "mines" or bombs without detonating any of them. Each time you click a cell, a number appears, indicating how many mines are in the adjacent cells. By using these numbers as clues, you must deduce the location of all the mines and clear all safe cells to win the game.
Tips & Strategies for Mine Search
Strategy 1: The "1-2-1" Pattern
Look for a sequence of 1-2-1 on a line. The two cells on either side of the "2" (the "1"s) must be mines. Flag them to save time and reveal the cells around them.
Strategy 2: The "1-2" Pattern
If you see a 1 followed by a 2, and the 1 has a single un-revealed cell, that cell must be a mine. Similarly, if a 2 is next to a 1, and the 2 has two un-revealed cells, the cell touching the 1 and the cell behind the 2 must contain a mine.
Strategy 3: Focus on the Edges
The edges of the board often contain more straightforward clues. Start from the corners and work your way in. This can help you quickly reveal a large section of the board and get more numbers to work with.
